DPD Officer Fired

Her day in court is coming. She lives in a constant state of anxiety until then.

Hi,

And the shit just keeps piling....

Isn't it heart warming to know that breaking into and killing a guy in his own apartment is considered "adverse conduct" by the DPD.....she was fired because she "engaged in adverse conduct when she was arrested for manslaughter".

Sincerely,
Theis

Adverse conduct while being arrested was the dismissal reason?

Hi,

Here is direct quote from DPD statement:
On Monday, the Dallas Police Department released a statement announcing that Amber Guyger had been terminated from her position. “An Internal Affairs investigation concluded that on September 9, Officer Guyger engaged in adverse conduct when she was arrested for Manslaughter,” the agency noted. “Officer Guyger was terminated for her actions.”

Another of the 10 or so news articles I looked at to find out what adverse conduct was....
Said, the deceased's mom was happy with the termination and that the chief told them the termination was done in that manner not to complicate the prosecution of the criminal charges.
And, same article said, the prosecutor said, at this point, the charge could be upgraded.

Adverse conduct....... is simply that she was arrested... that's a reach for a reason to fire, complicated much by the majority of the evidence in this case comes from her statements (freely given, both not under miranda and under miranda), which have been consistent (that's my story and I'm sticking to it), the "hearing witness evidence" (neighbors heard), and the physical evidence (dead man in his own house).

This is going to be a nightmare to prosecute and up to the jury in the end.

We can only hope the jury consists of some very justice minded individuals.
Time will tell. This is one huge shit sandwich.

So, she didn't get fired for murdering someone. She got fired for resisting arrest in some manner.

Sounds like some sort of Catch-22 thing. Why don't these motherfuckers just say she was fired for being arrested.

Would you say she's probably a product of affirmative action?

No, shes society's new look. There is a generation coming into being that was raised by a system neither you nor I agree with. The paradigm shift has occurred.
You will see more and more of this generation in law enforcement, the military, education, and politics.
And you will see more of them prosecuted and jailed.
This is becoming evident in the number of educators being charged with sexual crimes against students and the number of corrections (jailers, etc) officers being charged with a myriad of offenses.

It's the inevitable result of the great society and its aftermath of lowered values and standards.

The positive side of that generation is, they respond very well to good respectful leadership. There is hope.

The suck part of that is those members of her generation wont get the credit they deserve in any of today's media.

That's fine by me. They have to find out, one way or the other, that actions (or lack thereof) have consequences.

Cops like this ruin the name for the rest of us.....

Hi,
But yet she is only a percentage of this entire shit storm debacle....the Department, Department Heads and Police Union are the other percentages in what makes this situation give good LEOs a bad reputation.
Before the victim was even at the hospital the Department was already looking for an avenue to have the public perceive the victim as a bad person.
Before the killer was even charged the Department Heads were attempting to excuse her by saying what long shift she had just worked and how she worked a very stressful shift, yada yada yada.
Before the victim was even buried the Police Union and the Department "leaked" that drugs were found at the victims house in yet another attempt to make the killer look better than the victim.

The list goes on and on.....

Edited to Add:
For example in the same town a lady was killed in her apartment just a few days ago. The Department has released numerous statements saying they are looking for the killer, etc etc BUT have yet to call Amber for what she is...a killer.

The good LEOs have to stand up against your own union and demand they stop taking up for the bad cops. You all know good and damn well when something was done that should not have been handled in such a way.

Sincerely,
Theis

really the problem is not the few bad fuktards but the sea of otherwise great cop that come to defend the undefendable out of rote reaction. its that part of the culture that has to change more than any other to be honest. If the dip shit cops knew they would be judged by their own they would self nominate to a new field of work.
