DPMS 308 Stainless Bull Barrel?

Re: DPMS 308 Stainless Bull Barrel?

Google search (and the search function here) turns up many reports of sub moa accuracy with this gun. It also turns up a bunch of reports of problems feeding/extracting). I hope that more of the former and less of the latter is true, as I have a new one in my safe that is waiting for it's first range time...

Re: DPMS 308 Stainless Bull Barrel?

I had one that was awesome my only gripe was the weight. I sold mine and bought the 16" light and it doesn't appear that I sacrificed much accuracy so far. I only have about 40 or 50 rds through it so far but some very promising sub moa groups even out around 300yds. I will tell you now you will have to relace the trigger if you intend to get any kind of real accuracy out of it. For $1100 I would go for it. Prices will not ge tany cheaper closer to election time unfortunately

Re: DPMS 308 Stainless Bull Barrel?

Thanks, backyard sniper. It is a heavy piece. I got a Stag 223, with a "bull barrel". It shoots great, BUT I'm not looking forward to any long walks, with it. I'll "try" to use the search mode here. I don't get along with these electronic gadgets, so well, but I need the practice. Thanks.

Re: DPMS 308 Stainless Bull Barrel?

I've got one that I've had for a couple of years.Mine has a 24 in.bull barrel with a brake. This gun has pretty much ran flawless for me since new.I used the Tubb system to clean up the barrel when I got it,and it shoots great. The only accuracy testing I've been able to do is at 100 yds.Shoots handloads under an inch.I do know it'll knock down pop-ups at 500 yds. as fast as you can pull the trigger.
