How many of you guys and gals use a drummers stool to shoot from a bench? While my preferred method of shooting is to get down in the dirt on my belly....when I'm at a bench...I've recently learned that a good padded drummers stool makes things a hell of a lot more comfortable and nice. The stool can get pretty low for most benches...and adjust nicely for us shorter folks. At my last match using a regular folding chair...I thought I was going to have to go back to the car and get my booster seat. Next match.... Drummer Stool.

I have made a few out of pipe stands, chop the V off, weld a 12" circle in it's place. Adj as heck, virtually indestructible. No padding, but who sits all day.

I don't know if my ass would be comfortable on diamond plate....I'm getting old ya know...but yea....adjust-ability is key for bench shooting. I don't really want to be competing off a bench this year...but the covid thing limited my choices a little bit early on.

I am pretty sure with some ingenuity, you could attach any top you want for the tushy, lol
The steel, either, has never bothered me.
Bought one on Slamazon for maybe 30 bucks. Definitely makes bench shooting enjoyable, especially the adjustability.

Comfy and reasonably adjustable. Takes down easily and fits back in the box. Eventually will get a gig bag for it. My only ding against it is no swivel adjust for height.
