Hi guys;)
Has anyone heard any news or have any hands on experience with the DTA HTI?

I was discussing the Cheytac or Thor rifle with a friend, and I told him about the HTI.

Does anyone know anything how it stacks up against the ''Cheytac''?

As far as I understand, the .375 is the ultimate ultra long range cartridge...

Re: DTA HTI

They haven't shipped yet, but are available for pre-order from DTA dealers now. Compared to the EDM-based rifles, the obvious main difference is the bullpup design. Both are switch barrel rifles and from my experience the EDM-based rifles are quite accurate. And from what we've seen posted here about the HTI in development, it looks it'll be accurate as well.

One thing I suspect will be an advantage on the HTI side is varying cartridge options. Currently it looks like it's got a .50BMG and .408CT -based bolt face. So that means with a barrel extension, a smith could spin up some different barrel combinations. With the EDM rifles it's been difficult to get anything outside of the existing supported cartridges. Bill Ritchie offers .50BMG, .510DTC and .338LM barrels for the M96 and M98 rifles. There are rumors that he's done .416B conversions, but as far as I know there's nothing official on that. Thor/Knesek are doing the XM04 which supports .408CT & .375CT conversions. Cheytac, as a company, is done so the above two rifles are your main options for the Windrunner-style rifles.
