from another forum... I'm curious how much this dual MUM setup goes for? And can you provide more details as to how exactly the dual MUMs are mounted?

Vic, I like the BNVD-G you tested a little bit back.

I would agree, the BNVD's are incredible pieces of kit. We really like the swing away feature of these as well. Of course their built in focusable IR light is a REAL working feature for 50+ yard work.

All in all, indeed the BNVD's have alot going for them. I'll get Clasky to post the full up review here.

Re: dual MUM setup - how much?

I have been working on a Dual mum setup too for a while.

My intention is that it should be both dual and mono.
The transition betwen the two should only take seconds.
And the transition of a NV device down to the gun, should be done within seconds as well.
The placement of the individual NV kan be adjusted, as well as the tilt in the user position. Regardsless of where the tilt are in user position, the upper position remains the same.
So here is what I so far have come up with.
Possible will TNVC stock it later on, at least they have shown pretty big interest for the device anyway.

As there is no play in the system, and it's pretty advanced, this will NOT compete on the low end of the market.

with dual mums.

end of the market.

With single mum, please notice that the shooting eye is kept clear and unobstructed so it can be used with other divices, such as riflescopes, thermal devices etc without the need of folding up the NV device.

On the helmet its important that the NV don't go over the skull. So here is the upfolded position.

Closeup of the mechanical solution.
Everything is made out of 7075 aluminium, but still the weight is pretty low, and lower than the competitors that I know of.

And yes, fittings are made for PVS14 as well for those who prefers them.
