Dumb AR 6.8 questions Magpul PRS

Ordering the parts to build a 6.8 with a 17 inch/16.5 inch barrel.

Like the Magpul forend, don't want sights, want to use as fat of a barrel as I can but use the Magpul forend because I think it feels good.

How do I make this work?

Googled, and searched on here. Can anyone recommend a good smith for the upper?

Dumb dumb on ARS. Just became a AR virgin and now I like it.

I have been messing with M700 rifles since I was 12, and Iam 36. I can thread barrels, true, face, everything! ARs I am dumb.

There is a Hide vendor with a great deal on 6.8 uppers right now. 20" barrels but I'm sure he can cut it down to your desired length.

You could always find one with a standard front sight post and "modify" the FSP into a low profile gas block.

I can vouch for Wes Grant at MSTN. He has built me several uppers, including a 6.8spc. Pricy, but you get top shelf components and excellent customer service.
