What is the best way/process for removing durakote from a hard anodized ar lower? I would rather not damage the hard anodize underneath but the duracoat color needs to go.

Thanks in advance, Craig

Re: Duracoat removal

Some very good epoxy based stripper and elbow grease.

You can also soak it in a bucket of MEK and that will loosen it up depending on how well it was applied. This will allow you to scrub it off. Use gloves and a respirator with the MEK.

Either way the anodizing under the Duracoat will be stained the color of the Duracoat, not a big deal if you plan on re-finishing it.
