I am going to apply duracoat to some of my guns, including bolt action rifles, semi auto rifles and handguns.
I know that cerakote is superior to duracoat, but seems like cerakote needs more equipment to diy. Duracoat is easier to diy.
However, semi auto rifles or handbun barrels might get very hot after contnuous rapid fire, so I am considering using dura heat on the barrels.
Then I start to think, why bother to use duracoat at all? Why not just use dura heat for the whole gun? Is there any disadvantage of dura heat compared to duracoat?
