hey anyone used duracoat on their receivers? i have to refinish a receiver and im not sure if i should just go with the original bluing or the duracoat finish.

Re: duracoat

I've done SEVERAL receivers with Duracoat.
There is even a Blued Metal color available.
What type of weapon are you working on?
If you reblue you will still have to deal with rust prevention.
With Duracoat the rust is not an issue.

Re: duracoat

Duracoat. I've done about a dozen different guns now. Definately worth it.

Re: duracoat

Mike2972,
I see you're from NY. Hope you don't try to travel through NY City if you use Duracoat.
Bloomberg outlawed Duracoat.
