Gunsmithing EABCO Barrels

They used to be Green Mountain blanks (at least a decade or more ago). GM blanks are pretty underrated IME, and for button rifled barrels, always shot very well for me.

I'm not sure if currently they use GM blanks though.

I purchased one of the savage pre-fits in 6cm when they first started offering it. It was a .5 to .75 moa barrel and I was impressed with it. At about 700 rounds I had some bullets come apart and for whatever reason the barrel was never the same after that. It was nothing that we could find on a bore scope, so I fought it for another 50 rounds and then pulled it.

Even though I didn't get that good of barrel life I would still try another.
