Hey guys im new to the site i really like it but im home on leave from Afghanistan for R&R AND I'm trying to find a good pack i know i want a eberlestock but which one is better the half track or fac track ill be using these packs more like a ruck so please i would love to have your input

Johnny, welcome back from the Stan, for now and stay frosty on your return trip.
I have used the Phantom quite a bit on deployments. Its is basically the same as the Half Track but with a scabbard. I will say that while the Phantom was a great pack I did not like how there were no straps to adjust size and tightness of the main compartment of the pack. When it was full and heavy it wasnt bad but when it wasnt completely full it lacked stability and moved around a lot. just think of having a ruck one size and not being able to sinch it down.
It looks like they have addressed this issue on the Fac Track by adding a strap around the middle. But it still lacks vertical adjustment.

Johnny, I have a half track no complaints used it back packing in the ozark national forest plenty of room for three day trip.
