Eberlestock Halftrack

Has anyone used the halftrack for PRS? I see all the benefits for hunting. My question is, is the internal shelf sturdy enough for gamechangers and/or ammo box’s.

I use their Gunslinger II pack for PRS and have no complaints so I'm sure the Halftrack would be more than up to the task. One lesson I learned quickly on, was to use folding ammo pouches/binders instead of ammo boxes (at least the plastic kind for reloads). If you're shooting factory ammo in their original boxes, maybe not so much a problem, but the plastic ones for reloading are definitely not ideal for out in the field. The folding ammo pouches/binders also open up a lot more room for you in the pack.

Thank you for that. I’ve been running boxes for years now and it is just impractical long term over the wallets. I wonder if any members on here are producing 50-100ct wallets.

AEM Precision makes some really nice folding 40 rd ammo pouches that are ideal for PRS matches. They’re a bit spendy ($45 ea.) but can be had for around $130 if you order three. MidwayUSA also sells a good 40 rd one for only $12 and they’re actually in stock at the moment.
