Sidearms & Scatterguns Ed brown 1911 custom work smith needed

I am looking to have some work done and refinished since the finish has worn badly.

Gun is a korbra carry lightweight looking to
Flat top or serrate top of slide
Round some of the edges on slide
Refinish complete gun.


I looked at the pistol smith list and there alot of good one on there. Really looking for a
A smith someone has work with before and know the quality of work

Per the Ed brown website they do not gunsmith work. They do offer refinishing

That is the best solution and hopefully it won't be too long of a wait. Brown just recently, for the first time in years, got to a point where they have managed to eat through a lot of their back log and actually have several standard models in stock.

If, for whatever reason, you don't go with Brown I would consider Alchemy Custom for any 1911 work you wish to have done. They are top notch, communicate well, reasonably priced, and can do nearly anything to a 1911. It's run by two guys who have worked for several big names (Springfield Custom Shop, Les Baer) and their reputation on the 1911 forums is stellar.
