I just got a used but new to me scope. As I was inspecting it, I noticed that with my eye centered in the eye box you can see part of the inside of the scope near the top. In the picture you can see part of the reticle is actually shadowed by it. This is at 6 power, it disappears at higher than 12 power.

Normal?

What scope is it? It could just be tunneling at the lower magnification ranges and may be inherent in the scope design.

Are you near the top or bottom of elevation travel?

Looks like a Nightforce.

I will have to jog the elevation turret some, I didn't realize that would have an effect. It's a 72mm hensoldt.
