F T/R Competition Educate me on bipods and mounting-Rem 700

I am considering trying out a 3x600 yard match. Classification options are F/TR or F-Open. My Rem 700 5R has one sling stud on the forearm. What are my options for bipod mounting and what is a good bipod at the $250 or less price point?
