Effects of bullet run out on precision in a tight free bore

Per the text explaining the video:
The purpose of this video is to display data regarding a test of bullet run out when the bullet is seated off the lands. The test showed no difference in precision between minimal run out and .006" run out. The series of tests to date suggests that run out is not a pertinent variable in precision when using a tight free bore. Further testing should elucidate whether run out is a pertinent factor in a loose free bore.

I wonder how many people test runout on the entire length of their brass (including case head squareness) before checking projectile runout?

Does that make a difference in readings on the projectile end?

I'd bet yes.

Disclaimer:
I have never, and will never test for either one.

J,
feel free to correct my terminology. I'm just lounging in the front yard after loading almost 100, 45-70, and I'm too tired to think. 😄
