Range Report Eight years old---First time at 200 yards

Me and my eight year old son spent some time on the range today. He has shot quite a bit at a 100 but decided to kick it up a notch today. Last year was his first year huntimg and he took a 6pt. with the Savage ML, and a doe with a 7mm08.He is ready for Virginia youth day this month!!!!

That's cool. My son is only 3 1/2. I look forward to spending days at the range with him. Not to mention the added bonus that Mom will likely be less enviable of my range trips!

Keep him shooting. My daughter shot her first tac match when she was 9. She's 12 now and placed 3rd out of a field of 15, in a tac match (shooting out to 550 yards) last Sunday. Not much will make me more proud.

That's great! What is she shooting (rifle wise). My son is 7 and I hope to get him out next year.

MOA at two-hundred and only eight years old...I know adults that cant pull that off,LOL
You have every right to be the proud father, enjoy them while you can. You guys stay safe!
