Equipment: M700 SA 6.5 Creedmoor, extractor changed to M16 style, ejector unchanged, EGW 20 MOA rail, Spuhr mount 34mm. Now for what's happening, as the brass is ejected it hits this clamping bar of the Spuhr mount and falls back into the receiver. What are your thoughts. I thought if I could raise the mount up relative to the receiver, brass might clear the clamping bar of the mount . Does anybody make a taller pic rail to achieve this. Looks like the altering of the ejector to a m16 may have the brass getting a more vertical path out of the receiver.
 
I would trim the ejector spring down to somewhere in the 0.88" - 0.92" range to soften the fling before spending the money on the LRI dual ejector mod. Springs are cheap. If is does not work or you screw the pooch by cutting it too short then your out an entire $1.25.

If you're lucky, a regulation spring will throw your brass onto the shooter next to you and screw up his shot. As far as I know, that is the only reason to have a "full power" ejector spring. I lighten mine so I don't have to mount an expedition, hire indigenous bearers, and bribe their union in order to find my brass.
