eley tenex

Re: eley tenex

Red is top, black is next, blue (Team) after that, all using the EPS bullet.

Find out EXACTLY what they have and cross reference it to Eley's web site. They make a bunch of top end ammo intended for different applications - rifle, sport pistol, free pistol, rapid fire pistol. Some with the EPS bullet, some without.

Make sure you know what it is before you drop the coin.

Re: eley tenex

Of course, 22 rifles tend to be picky about what they like. Tenex is great for small bore match shooting but do you really need it (I know, need isn't always a factor, want is!). With my 22s I tend to go to the range with a wide variety of ammo and see what the gun likes best.

Re: eley tenex

This is coming from the same guy that I got 2 cases of Win Super Match for 750/case.

Is the tenex in red and black and blue boxes, or do they come under different names?

I know I don't need it but it's nice to have if I ever do deside to shoot competitively

Re: eley tenex

Red box - Tenex

Black box - Match

Blue box - Team

Listed in decending order of price but not always what shoots best. Go to the Eley website it explains all of the current types of ammo they make.

Re: eley tenex

That's a good price. Killough is selling it for $1600 a case. Will it shoot well in your gun? Who knows? But lately, the stuff has been selling so fast (especially black box) that people have been buying lots without testing them.

At that price, you could buy it and move it if it doesn't shoot and still come out ahead.

Re: eley tenex

Tenex has always shot most accurate out of everything I tried it in, but, that was years ago. In my guns, I could usually find a more economical version made by Eley that shot close.

I'll buy this for those times when close is not close enough
