Drill a hole in the case head to accommodate a 1/4 /28..24...20 tap. Thread the hole with the tap. Use a bolt that fits the threaded hole with a stack of washers that will allow the case head to pass(Probably a 1/2 inch+ washer stack) and turn the bolt into the case through the stack of washers. It will pull the case out with minimal effort. Then use the home-made spray lube and you'll never have that problem again.

Thank you for the tip. I have a #7 drill and a 1/4-20 tap.
This is the first time I have used the Hornady NH spray lube and poof second case stuck.
I always used a lube pad before, but I read that it is old school and thought I would try new lube.

Yep, the tap and bolt will work.
Take your die out of the press, and thread it up from the bottom so the case rim is sticking out the top of the press. Then use a socket of the appropriate size with a single washer on top instead of the washer stack.
The Imperial wax lube works for me.

Yep, the tap and bolt will work.
Take your die out of the press, and thread it up from the bottom so the case rim is sticking out the top of the press. Then use a socket of the appropriate size with a single washer on top instead of the washer stack.

do your self a favor and clean the die interior with a bore brush an bore solvent to make sure you don't have a smear of brass stuck to the die's wall. That will only cause some more grabbing.
toss the hornady shit in the garbage. if you cannot abide by the waste, use 2x as much and let it dry so all the carrier is long gone. Even then I'd not use it on anything bigger than .223 cases. I'm done with that stuff.
I use Dillon spray, home made spray, and Imperial wax depending on what I'm doing.

The biggest problem with the spray lubes is that they need to be shaken a lot,and need to dry for about 5-10 minutes before using.If you use it without shaking it first,cases can stick,and you also have a can of lube that is missing half of the important stuff.I bought a stuck case remover years ago,but after seeing it,realized that it would be very east to make one. I still use OneShot for pistol and 223 blasting ammo, but the trick is to shake it up good and dump the brass in a large ziplock bag and spray OneShot for 5 seconds into the bag, seal it up and roll the cases around to ensure complete coverage, spraying cases in a tray is a bad idea, sorry about your die, I hope you don't FUBAR it removing the stuck case

Considering you can run 40s through that die DRY without a problem, not really a data point of any value when working with bottleneck rifle cases.

Whatever, but a .40 is not a .308 and Hornady spray isn't great. I threw my old lube pada away the day I started using Imperial die wax, think Hornady's Unique may be just as good.
Touch two finger tips to the lube, pick up a case and rub the wax over it thinly as you take it to the press. Waxes are quick, clean, lube well and are easy to wipe off the fingers and cases with a paper towel when finished.

Did this not too long ago with a 7 Rem Mag case. Bypass all this bullshit and send it to RCBS. They'll remove it for free without damaging your die. All you pay for is shipping. I pissed around with mine trying several things and none of them worked. Only raised my blood pressure. Call RCBS and save yourself the hassle. They have great customer service.

Never had a stuck case with Dillon or Midway's spray lube. Just let dry for 5 minutes so and start sizing.
