So got this L3 UF WP tube last year. Has one seemingly >.003" spot in tha Z2. Incidentally noticed a small glow around the spot when a lens cap that fully blocks out light was placed infront of the objective lens.

Bought this new from the dealer last year, got a few questions. Especially after the other emission point thread, where it was stated lasering can by very small.
1. Is this a emission point?
2. Was this an emission point that was covered, but looks like not completely.
3. (Main concern) Can this potentially become a bigger problem and should it be warrantied becuase of that?

Read a few of the older threads on emission points on arfcom. The spot is visible on the screen when the power is off, indicative that it is on the optics side. Pretty much the only time I've seen a spot on the screen side (spot visible when the tube is not powered on)

Have you tried peeing on it? Urea seals emission points in L3 Filmless WP tubes.

It doesn’t work with thin filmed tubes.
You must have been drinking some of Popcorn's special Likker. I cant get it to work with regular Urea.

Im not sure who you got this from, but someone like TNVC would take the tube in. They would inspect it. If it is infact an emission point, im sure L3 would warranty it since its not even a year old. From what ive read these can get worse with time.
