LOL! I definitely remember the little Iraqi dude in the beat up white Toyota pick up coming by the munitions turn in check point every morning, and selling Kronenburg (sp?) beer and Grant's scotch whiskey out of the back during the first Gulf War clean up. For $20 you could get a Makarov and for a measley $50 a FA AK (used to be cheaper, but some Air Force weeny fuck paid asking price, and so everyone else's price went up; dip shit).

As to the OP's post...there's a reason we don't sell our military tech to the French (or Italians); they just sell the shit to someone else. Which reminds me of some equipment that the Chinese owned, or, of some specially made "pipes" that the were found in Iraq (during OIF) that were used in some very specific weapons manufacturing and stamped with our "allies" information. But I digress...smh...the "fickle French"....fuck those guys.

Keep seeing this story with "aw, silly fascists without an airplane..." but

• It's worth a lot of money. Who knows what they were maybe gonna trade for?
• It is still a missile. Someone only moderately clever could probably make it a dumb (unguided) SSM just fine. Oxygen bottle mortars and rockets have been just fine in many attacks, this would likely be better.
• It goes boom pretty big. Some screwdriver time and anyone at all used to blowing up stuff can surely light off the warhead. 30 kg of military grade high explosive with the continuous rod fragmentation ring will mess someone's day up a lot.

We don't want these guys to have it.
