Took the mountain bike out for a night ride around a gorgeous Reservoir near me in a small "non Socialist" section of NJ.

Pulled over to appreciate a gift of a perfect moon reflecting off the water. With the world as crazy as it is , I always try to take a moment to decompress. Stress kills.

Enjoy life brothers.

Yeah, friends ask “Why do you go deer hunting? Most of the time you don’t shoot anything. And, you can buy meat at the supermarket for less than you spend in gas money.”

“Because I don’t have cell service in a tree stand…”

Life's crazy. Enjoy the calm

Thanks for posting that. We often forget. I do. Work has been stressing me the fuck out..
Like so many people just doing their part keeping America moving, I found myself feeling like a hamster on a wheel. Decided to make time on my schedule to recharge my batteries. This process is something all people can easily do. Walking the dog, strolling the beach with a loved one.

I pride myself as the rock supporting my family like many do on this forum. But part of this process is taking time for simple down time . Unfortunately I believe we are heading towards hard times and quite possibly historic times in America.

Taking a "mental break" to get our head squared away will only help us make better decisions.

God bless.

Many years ago, a friend was dating a 5' nothing girl from NJ. One time she was taking about camping with her parents in the mountains up there. Just as serious as I could, I looked at her and said "you have mountains in NJ??". She replied yes we do. My response was "and here all this time I only thought Jersey had was slums and toxic waste dumps.
I thought she was going to kill me. Ah good times.

This is actually a sunrise over part of North Maumee Bay. I was halfway through my work day when I snapped this photo this morning. My wife and I have kayaked on that bay just recently and that was my reason for sending it. I sent the photo to her and she said it spoke to her. Her father passed away suddenly yesterday morning. She sees it as a sign that he is happy, and the calm peacefulness after the storm. Indeed Tactical Plinker is on to something..."Enjoy life.."

Yes. She's dead on. NJ is absolutely beautiful when you leave the north areas bordering NY tunnels and head out. Great mountain bike and hiking .

My parents lived in the area near Kinnelon years ago.

I know exactly what she meant.

When I go hunting, I'm really just sitting, detoxing and recharging my system. I still take my .270 or AR but would be just as happy without them. To touch either off would be like farting in church.
