Good podcast, enjoyed the match, train up, and meeting you guys again.
Trainup was definitely worth the $50, even though I attended it last year. Exactly what was mentioned, but an outside look at my fundamentals is never a bad thing.
I appreciated most, Adams comments on his mental approach for this match in particular. Talking about expectations vs what really happens after the buzzer of the first stage of the weekend and how it relates to “what have I really done to get prepared for this thing”. My goal for over a year has been to finish in the top half of one of these big 2 day matches, and I accomplished that at this match. The biggest thing that helped me, I think, was realistic expectations and (somehow) managing my anger when something didn’t go perfect. I enjoyed the whole match, and of course had plenty of mistakes but didn’t let that hold me back.
