ES IST DEIN SPIEL! -- Erich von Cartmann

We Germans are not flashy.. we are a MACHINE! We do not have ONE BIG GEAR like a Messi or Neymar.. instead the ONE German Machine depends on every cog and every gear to work together in unison. When working together, our Interior Defense is too strong, our Goalie the Best in the World, we do not make mistakes, instead we take advantages of the mistakes of others.

Through the years, and despite having different coaches and different players, We Germans seem to always play the same way. It is no wonder that we have been to 4 straight Semi-Finals, which is a World Cup Record.

Here is me, Erich von Cartmann growing out my Beard with my 2014 German World Cup Jersey.

von Cartmann, we need you to have a chat with TravelingMan. Hes having a tough time around here, getting settled in and all. Give him some pointers.

We German's benched our best player almost the entire World Cup. That is just the German way! NO ONE GUY is bigger than DAS MACHINE! In America, if we did this to our Super-Star PrimaDonna Athletes, these primadonna's would cry and pout (cough couch Landon Donovan), and complain to the world how "coach is mean to me". We German's train our Heroes to sit on the bench and LIKE IT! (much like you will "paint the fence" and like it!, because that is part of training). Sitting on the bench did our best player good, because when we needed him to come off the bench and punch a ball in to end the game.. HE DID! DAS MACHINE PREVAILS!

Got my 4th Star added today!

Not sure about Gotze being the best player, but yes, there would be a lot of US athletes that you would see be a whiny bitch at the press conference because they didn't play or were subbed or you would constantly see them barking at the manager while on the bench.

If not the best, one of the best. That guy has some skillz!

He's young. 21 or 22.

He's good, otherwise Bayern wouldn't have bought him last season. He still has some ways to go and I know he scored the winning goal, but he isn't one of those players that you start or put in the game and they instantly change it.

Ironically, in both the Bayern system and how Germany was set up initially without a target man (false 9) and instead had 2 midfielders alternating runs he is totally underutilized and varies greatly from the style of play he was used to at Dortmund where he played as an offensive midfielder that could roam to the sidelines as well as quickly sneak into the box on an overload.

They also need to stop playing him as an occasional forward. If he can keep his performance consistent and finally finds a true position to settle into and thrive in, he can easily become one of the best players to ever play for the DFB when he hits his prime.

Truth! It does seem he does not really have a full time role on the National Team, only has a role in special situations. I know this kid will be great! Sometimes there will be some young guys that show flashes of brilliance but when they get older their game does regress and they do not live up to expectations. Gotze will not be that guy! He has soft feet (meaning his feet catches the ball like pillows), crazy dribbling skills, and a swift kick.

One guy on the German Team that really impress me was Muellar, whenever I watch him play, he does not seem to be anything special, but yet he is always making plays in one form or another. That guy is so technically sound and was such an MVP that he should have received the Golden Ball award and not Messi.
