I have an older version of Exbal (bought it in 2008) and have been playing around with corrections needed for high angle shots. I just noticed that a change is not given for the windage however. Example, an 800 yd shot over flat terrain with 10 mph wind from the 9 gives me correction of 18 MOA elevation and 4.5 MOA left wind. Make same parameters but a 45 degree shot and I get 11 MOA elevation but same 4.5 MOA left wind correction.

Wouldn't the wind correction also change as the true ballistic range is closer to 600 yds? I'm just looking for verification that the windage also needs correction, not just the elevation. Thanks.

Re: Exbal, high angle, and wind

TOF is identical.....so the wind is still acting on the bullet the same amount of time regardless of angle. So then I guess I'm making something more complicated than I need to. Thanks, I should have looked at that.
