I am going to be ordering a new MPA chassis soon. I have been going over the details of what I want and the folding stock is VERY tempting. I have a BA Comp chassis now, and I hate having to pull out my barreled action or lower the cheek rest all the way down and pull the butt pad off just to clean the barrel. Its also kind of a pain to use the Hornady OAL tool or clean the action. So I'd love to get a folder on this new chassis. I have experience with AICS 2.0 folding chassis, XLR, and KRG W3. I love the KRG and AICS, the XLR occasionally needs adjustment as it works loose. I'd like some experienced feedback on the MPA folder, it seems like nobody has them. Do they lock up solid? How do they compare to some of others on the market? Thanks

I just got my MPA in that I had ordered back in July. I went with the folder and I'm pretty impressed. It locks up solid. Only thing about it is there is contact between the buttpad metal and the side of the chassis when folded. I like the MPR better in that sense as they have a magnet there to hold it closed and that also takes the marring from the metal-metal contact.

The older MPA folder mechanism blew wad. That being said, the new MPA folder mechanism is quite good (mine was replaced with the newer one), and is as tight a lock up as the AI or the XLR.
