Dave338,

I have been loitering around your question for sometime now. Nothing.

All I need is the answer and then I'll know and be better prepared when I do my Ruger.

Do you have a photo of your action (I am interested in shape) so I can get an idea of how it will be held to make truing cuts?

No, I don't know.

I've got some reservations about painting bolts. I've done several, and the paint jobs (Rustoleum and Krylon) just were never equal to the abuse a bolt goes through. Ended up looking cruddy, sometimes function was compromised, and getting them clean again was just a plain old hassle.

These days, if I paint a rifle, I'm leaving the bolt alone.
