I have been looking for a simple fix, but you know how that goes..nothing simple or cheap to fix on rifles.
Problem is during rapid fire drills a fired case keeps trying to get feed primer first. As you can imagine it slows me down. It's a stock Remington bolt and what I have found is when I pull the bolt fast the case spins and hit the front of the mag well by the bolt luggs. Hits about 1/2 inch up the case (308). In that split second I am running the bolt forward and it catches screwing you fiercely.
I spoke with the gunsmith..my thought was a stronger plunger spring and a sako extractor. He was not convinced that it would help. I have even thought about milling the opening a little wider.
What would be a solution, I want that spent case out of my way!
Thanks for the help.
