My eyes are getting worse and my astigmatism is making everything look double. So, when I look through a great scope lose detail. I have looked at a number of shooting glass vendors but I have more questions than I do answers.

I usually use a bifocal with the distance vision on top and the close vision on the bottom. It makes it difficult to get things lined up without really twisting around. I saw some vendors have the distance vision on the bottom and the close vision on the top. Some put the close vision near the nose.

Since the head is always twisted to the side and you are not straight on the scope it would appear to me that having the close range section of the glasses high, large, and toward the nose would be a good way to go. I am not planning on using this set of glasses for anything other than shooting.

Does anyone have some really good optometrists that you can recommend for the best glasses to mix rifle scopes with astigmatism? I am open to any suggestions. My existing bifocals just don't hack it anymore.

Re: Eye glasses and scopes

Since you are wearing bifocals I'll assume contacts won't work for you? I switched from glasses to contacts mainly for a better view through my scopes.
