I did a search and found a couple of old threads, none of which really had any answers.

Here's the deal. When I'm shooting prone, often sweating due to the heat and humidity here in Florida... my eye pro fogs up something fierce. I often end up taking them off, just so I can see through the scope. I don't like taking off my eye pro, as any eye injuries would end my career (and make life harder). My eye pro also has built-in bifocals (SSP Eyewear), which comes in handy for seeing my turrets and other administrative shooting tasks. I'd rather leave them on. But, if I can't see, I can't shoot.

Does anyone have any de-fog product recommendations that actually work? It seems most of the products out there have VERY mixed reviews, with a significant proportion of them being very negative - "doesn't work at all."

I'm cheap... maybe not cheap but definitely frugal. Dawn dish soap. Dab some on a clean micro fiber then buff the inside lens till clear. Has worked on my diving goggles as well as shooting glasses.

Before you put on anti fog clean your lens thoroughly with your finger and toothpaste, light pressure. You will be amazed how much better it all works.

Going to give this a try.. someone with 'diver' in their name ought to know how to keep lenses from fogging. Back in the day when I was an active scuba diver, had all kinds of issues with this. Used to spit in the mask.

Back in my diving days, the popular product was called, "Gorilla Snot." Loved the name! Probably what inspired "Cat Crap." :D

For a long time I just used spit. A diving buddy asked if it worked and I told him hell yeah. I told him I’d fog proof his goggles for him and as a bonus it’d help him hold his breath longer.

Plus one on just using spit. When I used to dive that was how we were taught to keep our mask clear.

Plus try to use something like Oakley M3 or M2 they have an anti fog lens. Match that with your spit and you're unstoppable.

Also drill two small holes at the outer edge of the lenses. This will provide ventilation and prevent fogging. Obviously make sure they aren’t in your field of view. Works best on wrap around type eye pro

Yeah, spit works a little in a scuba mask. A drop of Johnsons baby shampoo works better. But back when I was doing some cold dives I discovered that having a truly clean mask was always the best starting point. I did some dives under ice and I did some dives in Cape Ann, Masatooshits where my computer read 30 degrees Fahrenheit. I think I was the only guy whose mask was not fogged on some of those dives.

These Nikon's work well for me. Someone has already mentioned increasing air flow about the lens; you might also try creating some space between your brow and along the upper edge of your glass rims by applying adhesive nasal pads.

Got the Clarity Defog and tried it. Worked a charm! Not a bit of fogging up this weekend.

I've got some Cat Crap pending delivery.
