Just a confirmation of what you probably already knew:

Basically Facebook scans all your texts & pictures that you send with the messenger.
They then censor them if they don't like the content, as well as reading them, scanning them, monitoring them & of course saving it all for use against you later on.

So if sometime your texts mentioning your guns or freedom or politics don't get through, you know why.

There's one recourse only. Disable your account. I did last week. Stop fueling their growth and monetizing your information.

Their rating scale is skewed. Being anything other than pure commie rates you as either "conservative" or "very conservative."
I was in college in CA in the fall of ‘96 and with the election coming the prof in my PolSci class decided to give us all a political preferences test. The questions on the test were ridiculously skewed left, so much so that I got the prof to admit it in front of the entire auditorium.

My entire family dropped their FB accounts a week or two back, when the 2A issues become public knowledge. Some of them are mad as hell. I have never been involved in any of the social networking apps. SH is my main outlet/network, and gets bout 95% of my attention/time.

I'm proud to say that I've never had a Facebook account and have managed to get along just fine. That said, I don't have many friends, lol. All my old drinkin buddies have moved on in life as have I. I work every day, come home to my family. Weekends and evenings are generally spent shooting or with my kids, usually both. My life is pleasantly simple and free of unnecessary drama.

I look at Social Media about the same way I do drugs. If I don't partake, then I don't know what I'm missing. I also don't have to deal with the consequences.

Facebook is good for an argument. Little else. I'm FB friends with some really leftist liberals. They are fun to needle. Other than posting news articles that are sure to enrage them (or posting comments to their posts sure to enrage them), I don't have any use for it. Very occasionally, I see an advert for something vaguely interesting. With out fail, the comments prove it to be garbage. Getting news from FB is less reliable than getting news from my kids. I guess without Facebook, I'd have 5 more minutes of life every day. For the life of me, I cannot fathom why FB stock is valued where it is.

I haven't had a FB account in many years, but even back then... If you 'deleted' your account, it only removed it from view, but all of the data was still there. I spent nearly 3 hours going through my account to manually delete EVERYTHING. The things I couldn't delete were filled with randomness. I've heard that some people have since written scripts that can do it.

Have you guys ever seen something that started as a parody and then later realized it's truth..?

Rule 1 on fb is, there is no law stating that one must use their own name.
rule 2 is that there is no law stating that one must use a 'real' name.
and C is that there is no law stating that you have to put in a phone number.
And another thing, nobody said anything about any other 'true' information needs to be put up.

    It's the innerwebz people!!!!!

There's some who know who I am, and there's some who know where I am. They do, because they needed to at one time or another. Otherwise, screen-names rule the day.

    Not just on fb.

Boy are they doing a shitty job because I have friends send things that I know would be censored. Hell, I don't even believe what I am sometimes seeing

You have to get on their radar first. But when you do they take up permanent residence in your ass.
