Someone already put a topic up about handloads for these, but I'm wondering if anyone has had a chance to compare the factory loadings against each other? I'm wondering if anyone has determined things like which one stays above transonic the farthest at extreme ranges, does one or the other show better SDs, etc? I know I can plug the numbers into the Kestrel, but that depends on Hornady's data being accurate. I know for me, their G7 data on the 140 doesn't quite match up with my results (they revised it to .326 but I get a better match at the original .312), so I thought I'd ask for some real-world experience. Thanks

The reason the BC isn't lining up for long range use is that it is a 200 yard average that they started using to give an apples to apples comparison with other manufacturers that use that. The original BC was the 800 yard average and that is why for long range you need use the longer range average. www.hornady.com/bc

Rob - yes, thanks for the link. I hadn't seen that before. I'm still using the original BC and never changed it when I heard they had revised it upward because it worked pretty well @ .312 for me and I rarely shoot inside 1000 unless the wind is just too much for me (rare in AL).

Have you had a chance to compare these two factory offerings, and if so, what did you find?
