Failure to feed Custom Shop RPR 6.5 Creedmoor

Took it out for first shots and had a really hard time feeding 20% would not feed correctly and would jam not using cheap ammo
When I did get the rounds to feed got many groups .5 inch at 100 yds

That's odd, because the dent looks like it's folded inside. Dents caused by a chamber usually end up with wrinkle lines on them.

It takes a lot of effort to bend a case neck like that while chambering.


Maybe it's just how the picture shows it...

Have you tried a different magazine?
 
Were you shooting off a bipod or over a barrier with the magazine and mag well jammed against it?

If the mag is jammed against something, it can tip the front down causing the cartridge to impact the chamber end of the barrel instead of nosing into the chamber. It really doesn't take much to cause that.

Ejector plunger? That sort of makes sense, keeping the round from centering into the chamber. Waiting to hear.

Glad they are still doing good customer service. A few years ago I had a 556 model with chambering issues. They said here's the shipping label, send it to us in a non-descript box. My reply was, you've seen all of the printing on the factory box, right? They expedited a non-descript box to me, and turned it around quickly to boot.
