Hey all,

I'm thinking about getting a Falcon Menace 4-14x44 with MIL adjustments and had a few questions for those that either have them or know about them. it will be primarily for my CZ 452, but will spend some time on my 308 until i get the money for a PST. i want a scope that is FFP and MIL/MIL, and the Falcon is the most reasonably priced one i know of - so here are a few things i've been wondering...

1. I've heard a lot recently about the quality control on these not being so great. i know that all scopes have their problems, but i want to know if it would still be wise to get one or would i be throwing money away?

2. do all the current models come with the three screw turrets? if not how would i go about getting them and how much do they run?

3. where would you suggest buying one from? i know that if i suspect needing to interact with the dealer about a warranty should the scope fail somehow this will be important.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Falcon Menace Questions

Thanks, I've only heard good things about matt. I'll see what i can do about going through him, and thats good to know that all the new models have the upgraded turrets.

Re: Falcon Menace Questions

Have they (Falcon) got their quality issues behind them? I was thinking of one myself because I like the reticle - the extended lower leg for holdover, which I wish more mfrs. would do. However, I read on another sniper site that the owner/main tester had basically given up on the ability of Chinese based manufacturers to make a quality, durable scope. In particular, he noted the reticles canting.

Falcon still seems the best for the features I want but..... Otherwise it's a Bushnell SFP scope with a Kenton ranging turret or more money for a Weaver FFP but a "short" stadia.

Personally I prefer the EMD reticle for ranging, because you have the mildots and the hash marks to give you more references.

IMO, I would have to say yes. The Falcon is a good starter scope and could even be a long run scope for some people.

Re: Falcon Menace Questions

Anyone have experience with the 5-25x56 model? are there blur issues? I read there were on the prototype somewhere but haven't seen any reviews since the 56mm was released for production.

Re: Falcon Menace Questions

Re: Falcon Menace Questions

i just got a 5-25 falcon...

i havent gotten a chance to fully test and review it... only shot it once... but so far out to the 300 yard mark it tracked perfectly, returned to zero etc perfectly..

im waiting to get my WOTAC back to do a side by side... the glass is acceptable.. not phenominal like my zeiss diavari.. i really dont have anything in the same league to compare it to right now

so far so good with the falcon... i will have more info soon

you cant beat it for the price tho.. mil/mil and ffp for 500
