Anyone have a favorite optic for a SCAR 17?

I'm thinking a Vortex PST 4-16 FFP.

Also, any preference of MOA vs MIL for a scope like that? I know it's a bit like glock vs 1911 arguments so maybe that isn't a good question, lol.

If you like Vortex look at PST 1-4 and the Razor 1-6...I would have a 1-? optic on a SCAR you can reach out much further then you might think with the lower power and you won't sacrifice your CQB ability...But if you choose a more powerful optic look at possibly adding a mini red dot for CQB..

I've thought about adding the minidot, a fast fire most likely if I go that route.

The idea in my mind was to use the PST on 4 power like a 4x ACOG. With the FFP, I was figuring the reticule setup would also help facilitate that.

This would a DMR type of setup. I have AK's set up for CQB and mid range. I have a sparc on one of my 74's that just can't miss anything at 100 yards and under.

I agree with you to some degree still the 4x or 6x will be faster aquisition on the move I.E more forgiving eye relief...but there is no absolute answer I only know what works for me...If you decide on a red dot I just bought a Docter Optic 3.5 MOA from SWFA at 50% off 250.00 to my door that my friend is a deal!

Leupold Mark6 1-6x CMR-W and use it as a battle rifle platform.
If you really want it to be a precision weapon, then I would suggest a Weaver 3-15x50 EMDR mil/mil. 3x vs 4x bottom end makes a difference for FOV.
Or, pick up the Bushnell Elite Tactical HDMR 3.5-21x50.
