Has anyone investigated the recipe for the Federal Gold Metal Berger ammo in 6mm Creedmoor? I guess the main question is what powder is used and how much?

I've measured the overall length at 2.740". This would give about 0.060" jump in my rifle.

Typical factory ammo is not loaded with "canister" (publicly available) powder. It's usually a blend of several base "industrial" powders to meet the desired pressure and velocity specs.

In fact, early Hornady 6.5CM is the only ammo that was advertised (to my knowledge) as using a canister grade powder. Alas, even that has gone the way of the dodo...

It’s not going to be any powder you can buy. Even if it was why would you use that load instead of tailoring it to your rifle if you’re going through the trouble of loading.

105 Hybrids .020” jump, brass of you choice with Fed 210M or CCI 450/BR4, and H4350 at 40gr working up to 42.5 or so. Usually the sweet spot is 42.0-42.5 as long as the pressure isn’t too high in your rifle.

I just got some of that ammo and pulled a bullet. Powder charge was 41.8 grains. COAL 2.734, CBTO 2.127. I wish i knew what powder it was too because i can only load 39 grains of 4350 or RL16 without signs of pressure. I’m down in the 2930 FPS range and the federal stuff was 3150 with no hard bolt lift or signs of pressure.

Yeah i don’t know what’s going on. The load i settled on is 39.1 gr of Rl16 with a 110 smk .060 off the lands in lapua brass with a rem 7.5 primer. I’m getting 2930 with a SD of 4 and ES OF 11-12. I shoot a lot of PRS and it seems like the last 4 shots in a 10 shot string, the bolt starts getting tight.
