Feeding .260 in AI mag?

What's your opinion? Can the .260 with 140 Bergers mag feed in an AICS mag? Need to go with an AW mag system/action?

I feed them into my Rem 700, which started out as a 308 and is now rebarreled to 260. It has AICS magazine. The longest round that will feed reliably is about 2.88". The Berger 140's hit my lands at 2.85" and I load mine 2.84".

So long as the round is less than 2.88" it should feed ok. The AW mags are longer, but you have to have a reciever that will take the longer rounds. It's not just the magazine.

Do you know the length of your throat on your 260? How many rounds do you have through it?
