I have two 6.5 creedmoor rifles, one built on a Stiller Tac30 AW, and one on a Defiance. They both feed great from AICS mags, never had any issues whatsoever. I changed to AIAW mags last match and ran into an issue with the next to last round not feeding on the Stiller. Last night I tried it with the Defiance and same issue. Basically the round gets hung up on the breach face and won't go into the chamber. This issue goes away if I push the last round all the way forward so that the shoulder is up against the rib that keeps them from sliding any more forward, but it happens 100% of the time when the last round is all the way at the back of the mag. Has any one else seen this with either the creedmoor or x47?

I also don't really like how the AW feeds anyway, the single stack seems smoother and faster and is easier to keep on target when running the bolt. Is there a trick to get them to feed better in general?

I would venture a guess your DBM is sitting just a little to low. I run a Stiller Tac 30 AW in a MPA chassis designed for the stiller and its a non issue, feeds perfect. In my traditional stock I needed to adjust the stiller DBM so that it would hold the mag just a tiny bit higher... Just keep in mind there comes a point if you go to high that AICS mags wont work as the tabs/feed lips will be dragging on the bolt body.

Thus the beauty of a three lug bolt on the Tempest action GAP came out with.

Interesting you say that, on the Defiance my mag mates perfectly to the action and has zero play. There is some play on the Stiller, which either means it sits lower or the action has a little larger / sloppier cut. That's something I never paid attention to before. Maybe that's why the Defiance seems to feed smoother in general.

I also tried some 147's today and had NO issues feeding in either, but they are loaded out to 2.85" oal. The bullet that has this issue is the 123 scenar, which is loaded about .100" shorter. I guess it pays to test everything before you take it somewhere that counts.
