U.S,
Hey guys. Did my first bedding job on a r700 rh la in a manners stock. Now I’m having feeding issues. Rifle is shooting good still. I’ll put the rounds in the gun and the second round always lifts out before I push the bolt forward. I’m thinking I may possibly be slightly canted or have a vertical changed on my bedding plane. Just looking for a little guidance.

There should be a little play in the magazine between the floorplate and action. However, the magazine frame should be located in the cutout on the bottom of the action. Please check on this. If that looks good then I would suggest adjusting the feed lips very slightly.

Took the rifle apart and noticed the action with the magazine attached would not slide into the stock. The cut out of the bedding for the magazine needed to be opened up more. Cycled a few sets of rounds with no issues. I’ll test it in the field tomorrow to verify functionality. Appreciate the help!
