Rifle Scopes FFP mil/mil Scopes

Re: FFP mil/mil Scopes

Leupy has onw coming out in the near future, its available right now to MIL/LEO purchase program only (as far as I gathered from leupy last week) M5 dials are the metric dials and available in mil-dot and TMR. It will be one of their ER/T Scopes.

Glad Leupy got on the band wagon with Mil/Mil.

Divejay,

I'm not particularly interested in MOA/MOA anything myself. But you can feel free to spend the time going to each of the scope Makers websight; Shot Show Blogs and track down trade rumors, and compile your own data, and post it here for those that are interested in the MOA/MOA side of things.

But I will narrow it down for you:

USO
Premier (working on a MOA Version I hear)
Vortex
Nightforce F1
Wonder Optics

That's all I can think of off the top.

Good Luck,

Bob

SWFA is listing some M5 dials but the discription says metric 1 cm. Is this apples and apples?

PrairieDog,

A Metric 1 CM dial is a MIL dial. 1cm @ 100 Meters is the same as 0.1 MILS (0.36") @ 100 YDS.

Frankly, I been disgusted with Leupold, and find that there product information on their websight to be incomplete, misleading and not user friendly.

My fault entirely. I just can't drum up any enthusiasm to chase down what Leupold is doing and why.

Sorry,

Bob

Re: FFP mil/mil Scopes

I just bought one of the new Weaver Tacticals, 3-15x50, 30mm ,Mildot, FFP from SWFA for $620. The only possible shortfall I could find is only 68 moa of elevation. I don't have a problem with the 27 ounce weight or the .25 moa clicks, and probably will not try to use it past 500. It will be going on a DPMS Lr-308 20". The scope is built by Light Optical in Japan as per the rep at Weaver,so should offer excellent clarity and brightness, and is reputed to be built like a tank. Hopefully will have it Friday and will report in after it's mounted and had some range time. I want to also thank everyone here for the wealth of opinion and experience that helped me make my decision, having been a quiet lurker for awhile. It's another FFP option to consider anyway.

The OP asked about FFP mil/mil scopes. Given the fact that your Weaver has .25moa turrets-it isn't mil/mil
