Rifle Scopes Field report on NF NXS 2.5-10X32 Compact

I took the new SPR hunting this weekend, no luck on game but I did check out the light gathering capabilities of this new scope. For those who are from Texas, know it gets pretty dang dark about 6:00pm this time of year. I was hunting in a bottom so it got dark fast. At 6:00 I could have still shot at 90 yards. The NP-R2 became pretty invisible but with the variable illumination levels, it was perfect! The illumination really made it easy.

I wish they made these with a FFP, zero stop and mil/mil options.

FFP in a 2.5-10 really isn't needed. I ran a Leupold 3.5-10 SFP in matches for a couple of years back when I was starting out and it rarely came off 10x and when it did it was on close targets so FFP wouldn't have helped.

It does come with mil/mil and zero stop though.

I understand what you are saying but I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
