Final Decision - 338 Norma Mag, or 338 Edge?

Is there significant difference in the ballistics?

What's leaning me toward Norma Mag is the extreme short supply (non-existence) of 300RUM brass to neck up, and Bartram's 338 Edge brass costing more than 338LM.

Time is money, and not having to fool with necking up brass is a good thing.

Any thing you got as to why I would pick one over the other?

(338LM is out on account of the cost of brass. 338NM brass is cheaper, and has several sources)

Sounds to me like youve already made the decision. the edge is about a hundred fps more but like you said brass is hard to find and the stuff you can find is a mint. If you run into a snag on norma brass let me know i have a few sources. Another downfall with the edge is sure it has a hundred fps more but you also have to add a few inches to the barrel to get that.

It took me a little while to decide on the norma mag and i think it will be a good decision.

Yeah, Greg at Southern Precision pretty much convinced me Norma Mag is the best solution for me. Great guy. Very patient with boneheads like me.

I picked up some 1x fired Norma for a $1 / round.
