Greetings!

My name is Paul, and I currently reside in the panhandle of Florida, however I am a Texan by the grace of God. I work for an aerospace company supporting vertical lift assets in this part of the country. I have a keen interest in long distance shooting, in fact I have had this interest for quite some time. I am fortunate enough to be able to support my habit reasonably well, as I am not hurting for a decent shooting rifle. My goal is to be able to shoot and hit a target at 1760 yards with a reasonable amount of accuracy and consistency. Once I make that goal, I would like to strive to be able to hit a target at 2000 yards as accurately and consistently as possible. I have acquired myself a very nice 338 Lapua rifle to help me accomplish these goals. I have this fascination with being to hear the "tink" sound of a projectile that I hand loaded and sent downrange from my rifle using my skills as a marksman, this would be a great accomplishment for me to achieve. I am an avid reloader and have been doing so for some time now, so I do have the skill and knowledge of how to work up loads for accuracy, I am also a certified NRA instructor in several disciplines.

I know I have much learning to do before I will reach these goals, and I am not afraid to put in the time and training necessary to fulfill my goals, so I am not into the mindset of kidding myself thinking this is going to be easy. I joined this site because there is an enormous wealth of knowledge here that I hope I can tap in to and learn this craft of long distance shooting correctly and safely. I am looking forward to this and hoping to make some new friends along the way, and I hope that one day I will be a good solid contributor to this forum.
