Tell me what you guys think!.

6.5x47 Lapua. I have shot it 40 rounds. All 100yrd 5 shot groups under .470" best is .185". I am taking it out to 700 yrds during thanksgiving. Sounds like my RWS 34 pellet rifle with the AAC 762SD on it! Awesome!! I am pleased to say the least. Only took me 8.5 months start to finish. I almost gave up and sold all the components about 2.5 months ago, glad I didn't now!. Best experience of my build was Premier Reticles, they are awesome, I had a small issue with my 5x25 (most likely user error) but they looked it over and adjusted a couple of things, back on taget within 5 days!. CG Jackson trigger is great as well.

I got the almost identical setup, that CG is bad ass. Congrats on your build buddy. I got a 308/6mmx47 Lapua. You got a hammer it sounds like. Congrats again

Mickey Coleman. He is a great gunsmith, I found him on 6mmBR.com. Never delt with him before, but he did an excellent job, cuts the best chambers out there. I think he was not very positive about the build in the end, had problems with the CG trigger, so I ended up putting it in myself. But I have nothing negative to say about him, very honest and fair man. I wish he had spent another hour or two on the trigger and completed the build per our ageement, but like he said "live and learn!".

I almost forgot to mention:

Adam @ Bauer Arms did the AICS and inleted it for me. Perfect job and excellent person to deal with, and great prices!! Also got me the 400 rnds 6.5x47 Lapua brass, bipod setup, & monopod.
Thanks Adam!!

Scott @ Liberty Optics for the Premier. Great price and service!! Could not ask for more.
Thanks Scott!

Redding Reloading for the excellent match FL die set, matches the Lapua brass like a glove!. I bought the die set from a member here "new", got it and the deprimer was bent a bit, told Redding about it and they sent me a new one at no charge. That is customer service!
Thanks Redding!

Re: Finally finished my Badger M2008 build!!!

Very nice! I have two Badger actions and Love them. I just had one built by APA in 6.5 Creedmoor. It is looking like it will be one hell of a shooter. Dave @ APA got a 3 shot .214 and .247 using the Hornady 140 factory load. I shot a .147 and a .290 with 142 SMK and 41.5 H4350. I also scored pretty well with it in our club's first F Class match.
I know Mickey. He does good work. I have been to his place a few times. That street address is hiding the fact that he is WAY OUT in the boonies!!
I thought the CG Jackson was a drop in? Shows what I know about them, I guess.
Enjoy your new stick.

Re: Finally finished my Badger M2008 build!!!

the only thing with the CG triggers is the directions for installation and adjusting are on par with what directions would look like to put a fucking space shuttle together. I sent mine back to Tom Myers(owner of CG) and he put it all back together right and adjusted it for me to where i wanted it.

Re: Finally finished my Badger M2008 build!!!

Those actions look pretty darn stiff, as if they'd go to hell in back and still come out shooting 1MOA!!

Thinking about one of these, can't decide between this, Surgeon, or Phoenix.

Very nice rifle, you just couldn't do .308!! HAHA, nice rifle, I am jeleaous!!

Re: Finally finished my Badger M2008 build!!!

My best loads so far are (this is from memory, so work up as always):

129 Lapua Scenars with 38.5 gr RL-5, seated .015" into lands.
ES 9 SD 5, 2990fps.

139 Sierra Matchkings with 36.5 gr RL-15, seated .015" into lands.
vel?

These are both consistantly .250" or better groups. If I do my part they shoot in the .1's.

This is all off a bipod at 100 yrds.
