Fiocchi and PMC Bronze

Re: Fiocchi and PMC Bronze

I think Fiocchi makes decent Pistol ammo, I haven't shot any rifle ammo but I'm sure it is just as good. PMC Bronze however, I was looking to buy some and read in the description that it was "brass coated". So I passed on the purchased. Haven't looked into it any further you may want to check into it more.

Re: Fiocchi and PMC Bronze

I don't have any experience with the 7.62 as it isn't available in my region, however I shoot PMC Bronze 55 gr BTHP (.223 Rem) through my mid length Rock River AR. It shoots as cleanly and accurately as the brown box Federal XM193, and its about $1-$2 cheaper per box. Makes good plinking ammo.

Its cheap enough, so try it out and give us a range report.

Re: Fiocchi and PMC Bronze

I put a few different magnets to spent .223 PMC cases. No sticky, must be brass... maybe 7.62 is different?

I totally agree with you on staying away from steel ammo. It might be fine for Nagants, AK's...

Re: Fiocchi and PMC Bronze

I might have to apologize. I started searching for where I read the Brass Coated PMC, and I cant find it. I ran across ammunitiontogo.com and it stated "brass". I thought it was Cheaper Than Dirt but didn't see it there when I went back. I also check the PMC website and it didn't state anything either. So if I find it I will post the link but until then I am sorry if I miss informed you.

+1, and the brass I have in .223 is brass, and reloads with it are very good.
