You bet it's worth it if it's a Ruger revolver. Try pushing a slug from the muzzle to the forcing cone - it'll hang up right there. A reverse choke is bad for accuracy. I had a Security Six once you could actually see the wrinkles, the barrel was cranked in so tight.
