I have a Fn PBR in 300 wsm, I have a McMillian A4 stock for it, I am looking at sending it to GAP for a 6.5 prc, and a blueprint and action trueing, thoughts ?

Do you reload, better options imho if you do than the 6.5prc for a reloader

.5 MOA out to 500 yards and 1 moa at a grand and a fun gun with less recoil then 300 wsm. No comp shooting yet but maybe in a season or two

I think a ruger pr rifle in creed would be a good start but I have the fn and a McMillan a4 already

Did u buy the barreled action from cdnn a few years back and stick in the A4 stock? Most I know are building a 6.5 prc on a long action, not short. Also its not really a caliber for comps, if you are gonna to GAP why not just do 6.5 creedmoor,

I took the FN in on a trade, it was s a factory gun in the house stock a bought the a4 stock really cheap when Midwest gun works was clearing them out, to build a creed I need a different bolt and I am not sure I can find a CRF bolt

Might wanna look at LRI too.

I think 6.5PRC is a good option. Good factory ammo. Reloading potential eventually. doesnt need a long action at all. same bolt.

A lot of the Loaded rounds too long for standard sa mags
