Looks like my can will be delivered to my ClassIII dealer next week, bought a dedicated 22LR can as that will be what I use the most for now, price was right, new manufacturer gve me the Sweetheart deal on a Titanium Can,that the owner can take apart to clean, not welded,I had to go for it.

Re: First Can,Finally

No,CanCorp LLC,couple of guys tired of being held up by manufacturers on wait times and price.Service and communication are top notch, they were going to go with Aluminum for the rimfire, but decided to go with the Titanium instead and added flats on the end caps so you can use a wrench, said the Titanium is harder to crush if some bonehead clamps it in a vise too hard.

It is a crap shoot,no pun intended.Mine is the first to be sold outside of Virginia from what I gather,so far they have only sold to local guys.I am their first out of state customer,so this is a learning experience for all parties involved,my ClassIII dealer,Dave at One Shot in Wenatchee,WA is pretty new to the NFA scene, they just got their manufacturers license, and I am a first time buyer.Brett and Scott at CanCorp LLC have spent a lot of time on this transaction, are always available and know the competition out there is tough.
One question, once my dealer takes delivery, can I accompany him to a range and see him test fire it? From what I understand, until I have been approved by the NFA guys,I'm not allowed to do anything with it.Anybody Know?

Your dealer can take you to the range and let you put some rounds thru it, I have for some of mine, I have had a few want me to go and test fire their stuff without them present and I will not do that, my luck something would go wrong, I tell them come on over and we will head to the range and you can take the maiden voyage.

Thanks Scott, sounds totally reasonable,we are all new to this NFA stuff, and don't want problems, being a new can on SH,I imagine our members would like a report also.It should be in early next week, although the SN is available and registered already. This is more work and time involved than I couuld possibly imagine.

MAN thats really a bad thing to do. It would take a lot longer but its really worth it to wait till your dealer has the can in hand before you start the form4. Things can change .... cans some times are off from what you submitted and if that happens then you are in illegal posession of a can.

But shooting it with the dealer is no biggie, I call my dealer all the time and say hey ... can you bring this when you come so I can shoot it.

Re: First Can,Finally

I should congrats first off on the 1st can, enjoy. I have shot the aluminum version of the .22LR can, they are making improvements with the weight, sound but it is very easy to take apart to clean, 1-piece baffle internals which is nice and easy. I believe you will be happy with the performance of this product.

Re: First Can,Finally

Did you get one of the CanCorp products? These guys are really on the up and up as far as I'm concerned, nobody spends the kind of time that they have on a client if it is a BS product. They always answer the phone and give me updates, none of the take your money and we will call you crap.

Re: First Can,Finally

I have sat down with Scott and shot several different models. I don't presently own one but we are making fun of each other for some upcoming testing I am looking forward to as soon as he get the cans and ammo together.
