I shot my first belly benchrest match sunday at Ft Meade 3x600 I shot 525 5x not bad for a stock savage LE rifle. The wind was a bitch though it kept changing direction.

That darn wind!! But you need to clarify, if you shot a .308 off a bipod, you weren't shooting "belly benchrest", you were shooting F-T/R!

Shot one at P.A.S.A in Berry,IL last sunday. Midrange 4x20 and had a great time. The range is nice and the competitors are even nicer. I would encourage anyone that is in the area to shoot at this range. They are always looking for new members. I don't know if Stick has set the 2012 schedule but it should be out before long.
